Mary A short film.
In the midst of a severe drought, Peter’s childhood horse Mary is struck by lightning in a ‘dry storm’. “Mary” is a heartfelt coming-of-age film based on a true story, that attempts to articulate the grandeur of nature, and feeling small and insignificant in Mother Nature's hands.
It was written and produced by Joshua McElroy and was filmed on his family's farm in Coonamble, NSW.
Premiered at Flickerfest International Short Film Festival in January 2024.
